Going to a Skin Clinic in Korea? What to Ask For, and What It Costs | Forena Clinic
Most people arrive at a Korean skin clinic with a treatment name they found online.
This guide goes concern by concern: what usually comes up in consultation, what it actually does, how long the downtime is, and what it costs. Prices are Forena Clinic's current rates, per session, VAT included.

Same complaint, different cause. Two people with the same complaint often need different treatment.
Most of this is a course. One session rarely completes a plan, and sessions are usually weeks apart. If you are visiting Korea for a week, that shapes what is realistic.
These are product and device names. Knowing them helps you follow a consultation. Ask our team if something is not clear.
Individual response differs. Every procedure carries possible side effects, which should be explained to you before you agree to anything.
Enlarged pores and rough texture
Potenza, an RF microneedling system, carries radiofrequency energy into the dermis through fine needles. The controlled heat and micro-injury prompt remodelling over the weeks that follow.
Juvelook is a PDLLA-based booster. Effects build over weeks, usually across a short series, rather than appearing immediately.
These come up together because they approach texture from different directions. Which applies depends on what the examination finds.
Downtime: redness and pinpoint marks, a few hours to about a day.

Potenza with pore tip, 1 session | 275,000 won |
Potenza with pore tip, 3 sessions | 770,000 won |

Dark spots and uneven tone
PicoSure, a 755nm picosecond laser, delivers very short pulses that fragment pigment with less heat spreading into surrounding skin than older nanosecond lasers.
Two things worth knowing before you book.
Sun spots and melasma are not the same condition. Melasma tends to recur and is treated more conservatively, because aggressive settings can worsen it.
Deeper skin tones carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, so settings are adjusted and consultation in advance matters more here than elsewhere.
Daily sunscreen afterwards is part of the treatment. Pigment returns faster without it.

Picosure toning, 5 sessions | 385,000 won |

Acne scars: the scar type decides the method
There is no single treatment, because "acne scar" describes several different physical problems.
Rolling or tethered scars are pulled down by fibrous bands beneath the skin. Subcision releases those bands. No resurfacing treatment reaches the cause.
Boxcar scars and broad textural change are approached with Potenza RF microneedling or fractional picosecond resurfacing.
Focal depressions may be treated with Rejuran S, a thicker polynucleotide gel placed into the scar itself.
Some scars need a combination rather than one method.
One thing worth knowing before spending money: red or brown marks left after a spot are usually discolouration, and often settle on their own. Scarring is a change in the surface itself.

Dehydrated and flat-looking skin
Rejuran HB combines polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid, placed as micro-droplets across the area. The hyaluronic acid holds water. The polynucleotide component is proposed to support repair.
Downtime: small raised bumps for around two to five days, occasional bruising.
Boosters work alongside home care. Cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen are still required.

Thin skin and early fine lines
Re2O is an ECM booster made from processed human acellular dermal matrix, containing collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. It supplies matrix material directly to the dermis. Most other boosters signal the skin to build its own instead.
Most people describe the injection as manageable with topical anesthetic, though this varies. Re2O is newer than most boosters, so long-term data and direct comparisons are still limited.
Typically three sessions, about a month apart.

Re2O Fine (eyes, neck), 1 syringe | 660,000 won |
Re2O Fine (eyes, neck), 3 syringes | 1,870,000 won |
Re2O, 1 syringe | 880,000 won |
Re2O, 3 syringes | 2,178,000 won |
Lifting and firming are different jobs
This is the most common point of confusion in the whole list.
Ultherapy Prime uses micro-focused ultrasound. It heats small points at set depths beneath the surface, including the deeper support layer, with imaging to guide placement. Change builds over roughly two to three months. This is the one usually discussed for jawline and sagging.
Thermage FLX uses monopolar radiofrequency, heating the dermis more broadly with surface cooling. Often chosen for overall firmness across a wider area.
They work at different depths, which is why they are sometimes combined rather than chosen between.

Ultherapy Prime 300 shots | 1,529,000 won |

Fullness under the chin
ONDA uses microwave energy directed at fat tissue. It is better established on the body than on the face, and the submental evidence base is smaller.
Whether it suits you depends on what is creating the fullness: fat, muscle, skin laxity, or underlying bone structure. That is what the assessment is for. If the cause is laxity, tightening is the relevant conversation instead.

ONDA 40,000J, 1 session | 649,000 won |
ONDA 40,000J, 3 sessions | 1,848,000 won |

Expression lines and jaw muscle
Botox (Xeomin, Allergan, Dysport, ReNTox, Liztox) temporarily reduces the nerve signal reaching a specific muscle, so the muscle contracts less.
Expression lines. Onset around three to seven days, fullest effect near two weeks, commonly lasting three to four months.
Masseter. Slimming develops over about four to eight weeks and generally lasts longer.
Body. Injected into bulky muscles to reduce the size. Results develop over the first 2-4 weeks. Common areas include trap, calves.
Dermotox. Injected into the upper layer of your skin to help reduce oil and sebum production. Results typically last 3-4 months.
Placement and dose matter as much as the product used. Several product options are available at different price points, and which one suits you is discussed at consultation.
Price | |
Wrinkle treatment, 1 area | from 20,900 won |
Wrinkle treatment, 3 areas | from 58,300 won |
Masseter, 50 units | from 53,900 won |
Dermotoxin 2cc | from 108,900 won |
Clogged, congested skin
Aqua Peel or blackhead care combines suction with cleansing and exfoliating solutions, plus manual extraction where needed. Superficial, with no downtime, so it fits on a travel day.
This is maintenance. Comedones refill over time, and your home routine largely decides how quickly. If congestion comes alongside active inflammatory acne, other procedures may be combined.

Aqua Peel, 1 session | 75,900 won |
Blackhead care, nose | 77,000 won |
Aladdin peel, full face | 121,000 won |
How to plan treatment around your trip
Nothing visible, same day. Skincare, energy-based lifting, toning lasers, IV therapy, botox, stem cell therapy.
Allow one to three days. Skin boosters, RF microneedling, picosecond laser, fillers, collagen stimulators, fillers.
Needs several visits. Acne scars, pigmentation, fat-dissolving injections, booster courses, tattoo removal, laser hair removal.
Two practical notes. Strong sun straight afterwards is the main thing to avoid, so keep pigment work away from beach days. And tell the clinic your travel dates, your current skincare and any medication before you book, not when you arrive.

A note on prices and VAT
All prices above include VAT and are current at the time of writing (September 9, 2026). The volume, shot count or number of areas that suits you depends on the assessment, so treat these as a starting point rather than a quote.
The VAT refund previously available to foreign visitors on cosmetic procedures is no longer in effect as of January 1, 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Can I have more than one treatment in the same visit? Often, and combinations are common. Whether it makes sense for you depends on the treatments and your skin.
Is it safe to fly after treatment? Flying itself is not usually the issue. What matters is visible downtime, sun exposure at your destination.
How far in advance should I book? For anything requiring a course, as early as possible.
Do you see international patients? Yes. English enquiries are welcome on WhatsApp.
