Botox in Korea 2026: Prices, Brands & Which Brand to Choose

5 min read

Botox (botulinum toxin type A) is one of the most popular treatments for international visitors to Korea because it combines fast results, minimal downtime, and significantly lower prices than in most Western countries. This guide explains the main types of Botox available in Korea, average market prices by area, and Forena Clinic's current pricing so you can budget confidently before your trip.

What "different types of Botox" really means

All cosmetic Botox products use botulinum toxin type A to relax targeted muscles and soften dynamic lines, but they differ by manufacturer, formulation, and how they behave in real-world practice.

Global reference brands

These are the most widely recognized neuromodulators worldwide and are commonly available in premium Seoul clinics:

Botox / Vistabel (Allergan, US): the original product, often used as the reference standard for dosing and results.

Dysport (Galderma, UK/France): has a slightly faster onset and wider diffusion, often chosen for larger areas like the forehead.

Xeomin (Merz, Germany): a "naked" toxin without complexing proteins, frequently selected for patients receiving frequent or high-dose treatments.

Daxxify (Revance, US): a newer formulation designed for longer duration, typically positioned as a premium option. As of September 2026, Daxxify is not yet available in Korea.

Korean-made botulinum toxins

Korea has several domestic brands that are widely used and exported globally. For standard cosmetic indications, they show similar efficacy and safety to global brands, often at a lower price.

Common Korean brands include:

Nabota / Jeuveau (Daewoong): FDA-approved in the US as Jeuveau, known for fast onset and high purity.

Botulax / Letybo (Hugel): one of the largest Korean brands by market share, widely used for face and body areas.

Meditoxin / Neuronox (Meditox): an early Korean toxin with a long safety track record.

Innotox (Meditox): a liquid, pre-diluted formulation often used for subtle, natural-looking results and skin Botox protocols.

Coretox (Meditox): complexing proteins removed, positioned as a domestic "Xeomin-like" option.

Liztox / ReNTox (Huons, PharmaResearch): frequently offered as budget-friendly domestic options.

In practice, most clinics tier these brands by reputation, patient preference, and price.

Average Botox prices in Korea (2026 market ranges)

Korean clinics typically price Botox per area (e.g., forehead, frown lines, crow's feet) or by units for larger muscles (jaw, shoulders, calves). Prices vary by clinic location, brand, and whether the clinic targets primarily local or international patients.

Facial wrinkle areas (per area)

Across Seoul clinics in 2026, typical price ranges are:

  • Forehead lines: ₩20,000–₩180,000 (about $15–$135) per area

  • Frown lines / glabella ("11 lines"): ₩20,000–₩200,000 (about $15–$150) per area

  • Crow's feet: ₩20,000–₩150,000 (about $15–$110) per area

  • Bunny lines (nose), lip flip, chin dimpling: ₩30,000–₩120,000 (about $22–$90) per small area

Korean domestic brands usually sit at the lower end of these ranges, while imported Allergan Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin tend to be priced higher.

Larger muscle areas (by units or package)

For contouring and body applications, pricing is often quoted for a set number of units or as a package per area:

  • Jaw (masseter) Botox: ₩80,000–₩300,000+ (about $60–$220+) depending on units and brand

  • Shoulder (trapezius) Botox: ₩150,000–₩400,000+ (about $110–$300+)

  • Calf Botox: ₩200,000–₩500,000+ (about $150–$370+)

These are general 2026 market ranges seen across multiple Seoul clinics; premium Gangnam practices and internationally focused clinics often charge toward the higher end.

Forena Clinic Botox pricing (Hongdae, Seoul)

We're a premium skin clinic in Hongdae for international patients, with transparent per-area and package pricing for botulinum toxin treatments. The figures below reflect our published 2026 pricing.

Standard wrinkle Botox (per area)

Here are our base prices for facial wrinkle treatment:

  • Wrinkle Botox (1 area): from ₩20,900. This is Forena's baby Botox, a lighter dose for a softer, more subtle effect.

  • Power Wrinkle Botox (1 area): from ₩31,900. This is Forena's regular, standard-dose treatment.

These prices typically cover common facial zones such as the forehead, frown lines, or crow's feet, with the exact dose adjusted to muscle strength and desired effect.

Jaw and body Botox at Forena Clinic

For larger muscle groups, we use unit-based packages:

  • Jaw (masseter) Botox, 50 units: from ₩53,900

  • Body Botox, 100 units (e.g., shoulders, calves): from ₩75,900. Calves in particular often need more for pronounced muscle, up to 300–400 units total across both calves; shoulder (trapezius) treatment typically uses less, often under 200 units. Your exact unit count is confirmed at consultation.

Dermotox (skin Botox) at Forena Clinic

We also offer Dermotox (micro-Botox / skin Botox) for pore refinement, sebum control, and subtle texture improvement. Event pricing (as of mid-2026) is structured by brand and volume:

Choosing the right Botox type for your goals

When deciding between brands at our clinic or elsewhere in Seoul, consider:

First-time or budget-conscious: Korean domestic brands like Liztox, Wondertox, Botulax, or Nabota provide excellent results at accessible prices.

Frequent treatments or high-dose areas: "Naked" toxins such as Xeomin or Coretox-style formulations may be preferred to minimize theoretical resistance risk over many sessions.

Large areas (forehead, shoulders, calves): products with wider diffusion profiles (e.g., Dysport) or higher unit packages can help achieve smooth, even weakening.

Skin quality focus (pores, oil, fine lines): Dermotox protocols using diluted toxin (often with Liztox, ReNTox, Xeomin, or Allergan in our Dermotox menu) target texture and sebum rather than deep muscle movement.

Your injector will adjust dose, dilution, and brand based on your muscle strength, facial anatomy, and whether you prioritize longevity, subtlety, or cost efficiency.

Practical tips for international patients

Confirm the brand and units before treatment. Ask which botulinum toxin brand will be used and whether pricing is per area or per unit.

Plan timing around your trip. Botox typically starts working within 2–5 days, with full effect at around 2-4 weeks. Many patients schedule treatment early in their stay or at least 2 weeks before major events.

Expect minimal downtime. Mild redness or small bumps at injection sites usually resolve within hours; bruising is possible but generally light.

Combine wisely. Botox is often paired with skin boosters, lasers, or peels, but your doctor may stagger treatments to avoid overloading the skin in one visit.
